These terms apply to your use of thegladedesign.com and to any service or digital product you purchase from us. By using this website or making a purchase, you agree to them.
1. Who We Are
The Glade Design is an interior design studio based in Melbourne, Victoria, Australia, offering design consultations, layout services and digital products to clients in Australia and internationally.
2. Using This Website
The articles, guides and images on this website are provided for general information and inspiration. You are welcome to read them, share links to them and reference them.
You may not republish, resell, redistribute or reproduce our written content or photography elsewhere without our written permission.
3. Our Content and Intellectual Property
All material we produce — articles, photographs, drawings, digital products, consultation notes, layout recommendations and design documentation — remains the intellectual property of The Glade Design.
What your purchase gives you
Purchasing a digital product or service grants you a personal, non-transferable licence to use that material for your own home or project.
What is not permitted
- Reselling, redistributing or sharing purchased files with others
- Using our material in commercial or client work
- Reproducing our content in another publication, course or product
- Using our content or documentation to train artificial intelligence models
Each purchase is intended for a single property. If you are a builder, designer or agent wishing to use our material across multiple client projects, please contact us to arrange a commercial licence.
4. The Nature of Our Advice
This section is important, please read it.
We provide interior design advice. That covers layout and spatial planning, furniture arrangement, joinery and storage, materials and finishes, colour and styling.
We do not provide:
- Structural engineering advice or calculations
- Building surveying, certification or permit approval
- Plumbing, electrical, gas or mechanical services design
- Legal, planning or property advice
Our recommendations may need to be reviewed by a licensed builder, engineer, building surveyor or relevant trade before any construction work is carried out. We do not approve or certify anything for building permit purposes.
You remain responsible for ensuring that any work undertaken at your property complies with the National Construction Code, your local council requirements, and any owners corporation or body corporate rules that apply.
5. Information You Provide
Our advice is based on the measurements, drawings, photographs and project information you supply. Please make sure these are accurate and complete.
Except during an in-person consultation, we do not attend your property to verify what you have given us. The Glade Design is not responsible for design outcomes arising from inaccurate or incomplete information supplied by the customer.
6. Pricing and Payment
- All prices are listed in Australian Dollars (AUD) and include GST where applicable.
- Payment is required in full at the time of booking or purchase.
- Prices may change from time to time. The price displayed at the time of your purchase is the price that applies to you.
7. Bookings, Cancellations and Refunds
Cancellation windows, rescheduling and refund eligibility are set out in full in our Refund and Returns Policy, which forms part of these terms.
Delivery times for digital products and services are set out in our Shipping and Delivery Policy.
8. Third-Party and Affiliate Links
This website contains links to third-party retailers and websites, some of which are affiliate links. We are not responsible for the content, products, pricing or practices of any third-party website.

9. Limitation of Liability
To the extent permitted by law, The Glade Design is not liable for indirect or consequential loss, for the cost of construction or renovation work, or for decisions made in reliance on our advice without appropriate verification by a suitably qualified professional.
Nothing in these terms excludes, restricts or modifies any right or remedy you have under the Australian Consumer Law. Where our liability cannot lawfully be excluded, it is limited to resupplying the relevant service or refunding the amount you paid for it.

11. Changes to These Terms
We may update these terms from time to time. The version published on this page at the time of your purchase is the version that applies to that purchase.
