The Sage Project was a beautiful renovation project that we completed from start to finish. We documented the entire process, from demo to completion, and are excited to share the journey with you. However, during the construction process, we faced a significant setback with our stone splashback. In this blog post, we’ll share how we turned this problem into an opportunity and created a stunning solution.
After the stone splashback was installed, we discovered a big crack in the stone. Unfortunately, our supplier was unresponsive and refused to do anything about it. To make matters worse, we also discovered that the stone that was installed was not the one we had selected. It appeared as if the stone had a crack from the outset, and the stonemason who supplied and installed it had done a poor job of filling the gap. We were devastated, as we had fallen in love with the stone and the way it looked in the space.
However, we refused to let this setback defeat us. After discussing the issue with our team of contractors, we decided to change the look of the splashback completely and install tiles instead. This turned out to be a blessing in disguise, as the new tiles created a stunning, modern look that perfectly complemented the overall design of the space.
The tiles were installed quickly and efficiently, and the finished product exceeded our expectations. We were delighted with the way the new splashback looked, and it quickly became one of the standout features of the renovation.
Through this experience, we learned that setbacks and challenges are an inevitable part of any renovation project. However, it’s essential to stay flexible and open to new ideas, as sometimes these challenges can lead to unexpected opportunities and stunning solutions.
In conclusion, The Sage Project was an exciting renovation project that presented some challenges, but with the help of our team of contractors, we were able to turn a significant setback into a stunning solution. We hope that this blog post has given you some insight into our construction process and offered some helpful tips for those embarking on a similar journey. Whether you’re planning a large renovation or a smaller home improvement project, it’s essential to stay flexible, creative, and open to new ideas, as you never know where they might lead.
